Speaking about his next film starring Katrina Kaif, Shahrukh said that Kat is a really hardworking actress who gives her best to make and sound the character that she is playing believable! He even said that though he and Katrina Kaif are not the best of friends, they share a decent professional relationship and do not rake over old coals (the infamous Salman Khan-Shahrukh Khan spat on Katrina Kaif’s birthday).

Anyhow, as the next season of the Indian Premier League is approaching, SRK, like everyone else, is thrilled! Though King Khan said he might not be available for the upcoming auctions, he said that regardless of what he might be doing, like the past four seasons he will always be there for his team and his family.

He added that the team members have been practicing really hard and he hopes Kolkata Knight Riders performs brilliantly this season! Anyhow, it was nice to see Shahrukh Khan talking about K K K K Kiran…err…Katrina Kaif and Kolkata Knight Riders! Tee-hee.

The year 2010 was indeed kick-ass for Salman Khan, with Dabangg raking in the moolah at the BO and garnering every award there was. But 2011 tells a whole new story, judging by what has been happening when the trophies are given out.Salman Khan showed off his antics, his accent, his muscles, his dance moves and a lot more this year with Ready and Bodyguard.

But while fans have lapped up the entertainers without any question, they don’t seem to think anything the superstar has done over the last year has been award-worthy. All things considered, this was probably only to be expected, with movies like Rockstar and The Dirty Picture creating benchmarks in 2011. Salman’s no-brain entertainment flicks stood no chance against the somewhat more cerebral fare that audiences lapped up, in movies showcasing good stories, fabulous music and superlative acting. Maybe the actor can take this as a lesson for his future films. Clearly, copying South movies is not going to make Salman popular at award shows for ever.

If nothing else, he could take a few tips from Shahrukh Khan. The Baadshah won a lot of praises and brickbats for RA.One and Don 2. But he still walks away with awards for special effects, best song, marketing, action and sound design. Salman brazenly continues to focus on remakes and aims at only minting popularity – and money, of course – at the BO. If that’s all that matters, then Salman should remember that luck changes every Friday and you are only as good as your last film. In 2012, the Ready actor is coming back to the big screen with Yash Raj Film’s Ek Tha Tiger opposite ex-flame Katrina Kaif and a list of more remakes. We cross our fingers and hope for something new in this roster of feckless action and comedy. And maybe we will see, at long last, that Salman Khan, superbrat, superstar, super-friend, can actually act!

Gauri Khan might not be losing any sleep over the rumors that her husband has been having an affair with Priyanka Chopra but it sounds like Shahrukh Khan certainly has been: a new story is making the rounds claiming that SRK and Priyanka were caught together in his office at three o'clock in the morning!

The pair were spotted at SRK's office, sparking questions about what reason Priyanka could possibly have for being there at such a late hour. Once the story began making the rounds the couple conveniently tweeted identical messages claiming they had been rehearsing for last night's Zee Cine Awards, where they were scheduled to perform.

Really? Rehearsing at 3am on the night before they leave for an awards ceremony which had hours of scheduled rehearsals planned? There was no other time of day (perhaps during the day?) when this could have been done?

It seems awfully suspicious that Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra suddenly had identical Twitter updates at exactly the same time. And the updates (especially Priyanka's) were so unconvincing. They tried to make it sound like a complete coincidence that they each came up with identical rehearsal stories at the exact same time as stories about their rendezvous came out.

Incidentally just last week Gauri's friend Neelam Kothari declared herself innocent of being the person who started the affair rumors. Wonder if she had any hand in making sure the press knew all about SRK's clandestine "rehearsal" with Priyanka?

The King of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, has always helped his colleague friends in the Bollywood industry by popularizing their products and by taking care of them but this time the one who has been helped by the King is none other than Priyanka Chopra.

Former Miss World, Priyanka Chopra, last Saturday won the best actress award at the 18th Annual Colors Screen Awards ceremony for playing a negative role in the film ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’. However, when Kunal Kohli, who is an Indian producer, director and writer, went up on the stage to present Chopra with the award, SRK urged the audiences to watch Piggy Chops upcoming film ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’.

The film ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’ is Kunal Kohli’s tentatively titled under-production and it has just finished shooting. Therefore Kohli was also very happy with SRK’s gesture, as he believes it was really sweet of Shahrukh Khan.

Kohli, who was present on stage when the incident happened, said: “It was really very sweet of Shah Rukh Khan. He was on stage co-hosting the show with Vidya Balan. I went up on stage to give Priyanka Chopra an award, and I said I hoped she’d get one next year for my film. “Shah Rukh turned around and asked me, ‘What is this, plugging your film at any given opportunity?’ I told him, ‘Sir, I learnt it from you only.’ Then Shah Rukh announced to the audience that they must watch my film. I thought it was a thoughtful gesture.”

In ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’, which is from the 1960s, Priyanka Chopra is going to play a lead role opposite to Shahid Kapoor. Chopra will play role of an upcoming actress whereas Kapoor on the other hand will be seen as a struggling music composer. The film is all set to release in the cinema halls on June 22, 2012.
Well, all said and done, let’s hope people don’t make an issue out of this because SRK and Chopra have already been rumoured getting close enough to share what is called more-than-friendship.

When it comes to promoting and helping colleagues and friends from the film fraternity in popularizing their products, Shahrukh Khan is a yaaron ka yaar. He proved it once again at a recent awards function. While co-hosting the event with Vidya Balan, he told the audience to please go and see Kunal Kohli's next film. The film in question is Kohli's under-production untitled film which he has just finished shooting.

The 18th Annual Screen Awards had a big shocker in store for all Sallu fans. The 2011 ‘hit machine’ Salman Khan was not nominated in any of the categories, including that of the ‘Best Actor’ – a domain that belonged strictly to him in the year gone by. Amrita Rao attending the event said, “Salman Khan is such a big superstar, and he doesn’t need a nomination to prove it.”

Dia Mirza said, “People who get nominated treasure that nomination and it means a lot, having said that, I am sure there will be enough award shows who will nominate him and he will win enough.”Bigg Boss 5 contestant Siddharth Bhardwaj said, “I am one of the biggest fans of Salman Khan and it’s disappointing that he has not been nominated, but I’m sure had he been nominated, he would have won an award.”

After giving 2011 two of the biggest blockbuster in ‘Ready’ and ‘Bodyguard’, Salman Khan was left without any popular award. So much so that his name didn’t even feature in the nomination list. Call it the streak of bad luck, but for his diehard fans the dabangg Khan will always be most ‘wanted’.

Aamir Khan’s upcoming film, Talaash, has generated hype much before its release. Produced jointly by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji. And, the latest buzz is that the teaser of the film will be released with Agneepath. The film directed by Reema Kagti is a psychological thriller and is in its final stage of post-production.

Last month, a poster, claiming to be the first look of the film, went viral on the internet. However, Excel Entertainment’s Farhan Akhtar clarified that it was fake. Aamir’s cop look in the film is creating enough excitement and the film is scheduled to hit the theatres on June 1, 2012.

Actor Sohail Khan’s team, Mumbai Heroes defended themselves well against opponents Telegu Warriors, a change from the former’s abysmal performance in the last season of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL). Even though the opening match of the new season ended in a draw, the star studded cricketing studded cricketing extravaganza seemed to be a hit with the crowds.

The opening match, held at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium in Sharjah on Friday, managed to rope in a large number of spectators who seemed to be entertained by the excitement on the grounds, coupled with the presence of actor Salman Khan at the stadium.

Khan was present from the beginning till the end of the match, looking visibly nervous but cheering on his brother Sohail’s team. “We all feel Salman bhai is indeed our lucky charm. It was really great of him to sit through the entire match to cheer us up, sparing  time from his tight shooting schedule,” said one of the team members.

The opening ceremony started on a musical note with performances by Devi Sri Prasad, famous for composing the song Dhinka Chika from Salman Khan starrer Ready, and singer Atif Aslam. Afterwards, the teams took center stage along with their owners, captains and brand ambassadors.

The success of a heavily special-effects laden Ra.One has given Shahrukh Khan an even bigger idea - to recreate the epic battle of the Mahabharata on screen. According to reports, King Khan is planning to produce a film on Mahabharata, one of India's two great epics, in a grand style complete with bigger than before use of special effects.

The budget of the film will also go much higher than Ra.One. Since SRK reportedly wants to make it a trilogy, the costs will sure go northwards. Adding to it, Shahrukh wants the film to be released in places where Bollywood has never been. This means a wide-scale marketing plan will be needed which will add up the cost of the film.

Buzz is that SRK has already begun discussions with the 20th Century Fox and Warner Brothers on the project. Mahabharata has never been made for the silver screen although a series on the same was a major hit on Indian telly more than 20 years back.
