Shah Rukh Khan, the badshah of bollywood who never hesitates to take a pick on Aamir Khan, seems to be following in his (Aamir) footsteps and researching the characters before enacting them on celluloid. Recently Shah Rukh Khan revealed the same about his role of Rizwan Khan in upcoming flick ‘My Name Is Khan’ (opposite Kajol), wherein he plays a person suffering with Asperger’s syndrome.

In fact, King Khan believes that to be a good actor on the screen, one should be a well- read person and hence he had gone through a lot of literature on Asperger’s syndrome before going to enact the character in Karan Johar’s latest flick.

Sources say that Karan Johar even made arrangement for Shah Rukh Khan to interact with some persons suffering from the disease to imbibe the mannerism and other characteristics of the patients. This is the same thing which has been done by Aamir Khan for a very long time before accepting any film or agreeing to enact any character on celluloid. In fact, Aamir Khan had done a lot of research before doing ‘Taare Zameen Par’, which was based on the need of special children.

‘My Name Is Khan’ is very important flick for Shah Rukh Khan and so he does not want to leave any stone unturned in his efforts. So what if it looks like aping Aamir Khan in one or some other aspect of publicity and acting. Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan used to be spontaneous actor on the sets and do whatever director wanted him to do.

But, no more. In fact, Shah Rukh Khan not only researches before enacting the character through his own methods but also tries to slip in to the skin of the character by going through the route of method acting.Even in publicizing ‘My Name Is Khan’, King Khan is adopting Aamir Khan’s method of visiting different places of the country.

Shah Rukh Khan was recently in Ahmedabad to popularize his film among the audiences and even went to the length of marrying a twenty- year- old fan to mollify her on the occasion.In fact, Shah Rukh Khan has named the whole publicity drive of visiting different cities to be the discovery of ‘unusual love stories’ of common people. The theme suits ‘My Name Is Khan.

As the love story in the film between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol is considered to be unusual.In the film Shah Rukh Khan’s character tries to meet the US President to safeguard his love story with Kajol but is caught by airport security due to his unusual behavior. The flick is releasing worldwide on February 12.
