Last we heard Asin was 'close' friends with Salman Khan and seems like she's ditched him for another Khan who happens to be Salman's archenemy. It's none other than Shah Rukh Khan and Asin will star opposite SRK in Sajid Nadiadwala's rendition of Chetan Bhagat's 2 States.
Asin Thottum kal, who was earlier seen opposite Salman in London Dreams and now in Ready, is supposedly close friends with Salman. She also bagged Salman's friend Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 2. But, seems like Asin has moved on and has no qualms about dropping one Khan for another.
"Asin is already a part of Housefull 2 and hence she often featured in the discussions about the casting for 2 States. Sajid and Asin share a comfortable relationship and the actress was excited to be a part of the film, which not only features Shah Rukh but also will be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. She is currently out of town but is expected to sign the papers as soon as she lands back in city," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Buzz is that Asin has been chosen for the part because the character in the book is South Indian. The source told the tabloid, "Vidya Balan too was being considered for the role after Priyanka Chopra, since the female lead in the film is South Indian. Asin fits the bill for the same reason."
