Last week, making a guest appearance on STAR Plus' musical show Amul Star Voice of India Chhote Ustad, Salman Khan made headlines when he took off his shirt and flexed his muscles to the absolute delight of his young fans. But there was more that happened that evening…

And we are not referring to his dancing to Hai Rama Rama Ho from the film Lucky along with contestants, Aishwarya, Anvesha and Prakriti.

At the show Salman also met a leukemia afflicted four-year-old girl Sahara Shaha. Sahara sat with Salman for most of the evening, reports Mumbai Mirror.

She was part of a group of eight cancer afflicted children sent by Tata Memorial hospital to the sets of Chhote Ustad.

Before he left Salman, without any pomp or show, donated Rs 5 lakh to Sahara’s family towards her treatment.

Sahara was diagnosed with leukemia when she was just 6 months old, says her mother. On learning about his daughter's illness her father, who was in Kuwait, "simply disappeared" leaving her mother without any financial support.

"I have lost all contact with him. He has even changed his number. From that day, I have no financial support. I stay in a jhopadpatti and I can't even go to work because of Sahara's health," says the beleaguered mother.

She expressed her gratitude to Salman with endearing simplicity.

"Main kya bolun? Woh to bhagwan hai."

The episode of Chhote Ustad featuring Salman Khan will air on Saturday, March 8.
