After playing the iconic character Jassi on 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin', Mona Singh is finally set to make her big screen debut. After her TV stint, many expected her to go straight into films considering her immense popularity after the show became a huge hit. However, Mona naturally didn't want to sign just any other film and admits that certain films were meant to happen but never materialized.
However, she can finally count her blessings as she has been signed for a role in Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots. "Yeah, I am doing Rajkumar Hirani’s film. And I couldn’t have hoped for a better birthday gift. What do I play? All I can tell you is, I don’t play one of the idiots," she told IANS.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. However, reports suggest that Mona's track is not involved with Kareena and Aamir and that it isn't even part of the original novel by Chetan Bhagat. Bhagat's other novel, One Night @ A Call Centre, has also been adapted into Hello which releases today.
