Big macho man of Bollywood is someone who has a heart of gold too. We are aware of his charity. Recently, Salman set an instance by donating blood at the blood donation camp at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) located in Maldives.The donation camp was organized by the India–Maldives friendship festival 2010 that is held on an annual basis.

Eminent and important personalities like Mohamed Nasheed, the First Lady Laila Ali Abdulla, some ministers and elder officials of the government were also in attendance.

Having beforehand participated in a charity programme for the MAP or the Medical Assistance Programme at the Villingili Children’s Home, Maldives, Salman took off some time to judge a kid’s painting exhibition held at the Iskandhar School.

DNA has learnt that the actor flew down four doctors from Mumbai to the island nation to do the cataract operations for the needy.

A highly placed source present in Sri Lanka reveals, “On the first day itself they did 190 cataract operations. On 9th, 10th and 11th they did over 500 cataract operations.

The entire cost is being borne by Salman’s charity. The doctors went to two places Vavuniya and war troubled Jaffna to help the underprivileged. $HOM$

Banda Yeh Bindaas Hain which has been directed by Ravi Chopra and produced by Ravi and BR Chopra is set to be releasing soon. The movie has not only Salman Khan but other bollywood stars inclduing Lara Dutta, Govinda, Tabu and Boman Irani. Lyrics for the movie have been penned by Javed Akhtar.

Incidentally 20th Century Fox had served the director a legal notice because of plagiarizing their movie My Cousin Vinny. Even though the director denied the charges the issue was settled out of court. The was because of the fact that BR Films had not bought the rights for producing the Indian version of the movie. My Cousin Vinny is an american comedy film and has been rated as being the greatest legal movies in the 2008 edition of American Bar Association Journal.

Aamir Khan,  the perfectionist Khan of bollywood who is presently busy with the promotion of forthcoming flick ‘Peepli Live’ and had recently joined the micro- blogging site twitter, has promised to add the  name of King Khan to the list of his friends and would follow him on the site.

Aamir also clarified that he was not following all of his friends on twitter and Shah Rukh Khan was only one of them, hence  not following him should not be taken in any other way. However, when pressed further by the reporters, the perfectionist Khan said that he would love to follow Shah Rukh Khan on twitter.

Get, set, go! The actor Salman Khan has reportedly accepted to play a tough character in Mahesh Manjrekar’s non-masala flick. It’s a double whammy: bindaas Sallu will essay a character of a widower who is also the father of two kids.

According to reports the movie is a Hindi remake of Mahesh Manjrekar’s hit Marathi film Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho. Steeped in middle-class values, the film tells the story of a kid who hates to study but likes to play cricket.

The father doesn’t approve of his son’s passion for the bat and wants him to do well in studies which can assure him a ‘secure future’. The rebellious son, however, doesn’t listen to his dad which leads his dad to take a strict action.

When Salman heard the story, he liked it instantly. As a source tells a tabloid, Sallu too used to abhor formal teaching in his youth and that’s.
